Miles Davis - Spanish Key, Live at the Isle of Wight 1970

The music of Miles Davis has always made me think of colors. Almost as though he was creating paintings. From strong bursts of color contrasts and compliments to soft hues of grey with subtle undertones.

Gabriele Evertz

Gabriele Evertz's paintings focus on the pure impact of color by eliminating complex compositions or figure-ground relationships. This allows the viewer to experience solely the sensations of color and its impact on our emotions and feelings.
